Marinara Sauce1 96oz can San Marzano Tomatoes 15 cloves garlic (fine chopped) 1 bunch Italian flat leaf parsley (fine chopped) 10 basil leaves (fine chopped) 3 6oz cans tomato paste Salt and Pepper to taste Olive oil Coat bottom of large pot with oil. Heat over medium-high heat. Once oil is hot, add garlic and allow to brown. Slowly add San Marzano tomatoes. Use a potato masher to crush tomatoes until an even consistency is reached. Add tomato paste and herbs. Stir well, breaking up tomato paste. Add ¼ of the San Marzano can of water. Add salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to medium-low. Partially cover pot and allow to cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. |
